A few thoughts to be shared

I never thought that there are some people; not only from my own country, Malaysia, but from all over the world did take a glimpse or even read my posts. I wouldn't mind at all if my blog site has no followers. What's more important for me now is to share my views on this life. God bless you all and I hope that you will continue and to correspond with me for further inquiries. I will try my best to give the best answers for questions asked since my work schedule is so packed.

I am not a Buddhist, but my way of thoughts especially regarding the meaning of life and death has awaken me to a level where I have to accept things as they are in my life. It is somehow what we have known as "positive thinking" or "mind over matter" concepts where human beings have control over their life despite the fate that has been "fixed" on them. Karma cannot be changed; it's degree of intensity can either be increased or be reduced depending on the actions that we have done in our past lives.

My own "Winstedtarianism" philosophy is not a religion, but was obtained from my observation from the people who lived surrounding me. They not only influenced my life, but they did gave me the true meaning of human's sufferings and their causes. I hope that those who will read this will be clear up their mind from ignorance and selfishness.

1. Human wisdom can be likened as a dry seed. If you keep
or hide it, it will remain as a seed and nothing more. When
you water it, it will grow and become a seedling. You keep
watering and nurturing it, and it will continue to grow. Soon
it will grow into a big and tall tree where green leaves will
appear and forms a shade for the passers-by. Who knows,
an enlightened person may take his refuge under the tree!

2. No one can escape death; nay. Even a prince who ruled
over a vast nation; his crown was made from pure gold
and adorned with precious jewels from all the nations that
he conquered, his fame was feared even unto the ends of
the earth, but woe, when he died, his body will rot, his
flesh will be separated from his bones. A sage full of
wisdom, whose knowledge pulls people from all over the
world. Whom through his mouth all the precious teachings
were delivered, where people will sought his advice. Nay,
as his body decayed, nothing much is left for him. His
bones no longer speaks, his eyes who read the most
precious knowledge now dissolved. Nothing can stop his
lips from decaying; his teeth loosened from his jaws. No,
not a single being can be spared from death, no matter
how much he boasted living his life on earth like living
    for eternity.

3. On the fragility and temporal meaning of life: It can be
likened as a dew at the end of each grass. As the morning
sun shines on the meadows, some of the dews vanishes
into thin air; never to be returned. Some remains, because
there are some shorter grasses hindered by the taller
ones, thus their times are delayed, but not for too long. It
will vanish too, nothing is spared. The tall and big tree
must shed its leaves, the old and dried ones fell from its
branches; to be replaced with young and green ones. In
the end, the tree itself will die and be submissive to the
earth where it started its first moments of life. That's what
will happen to our human life, no matter how great we
have lived our lives, it must come to an end...

* #3 reminds me of the final scene where the ghost Nang
Nak cried after hearing the Grand Monk's discourse which
was uniquely represented with symbolic images from the
nature. She realizes her wrongdoing of going against the
reality of life and death; where the dead must move on to
next life without interfering with those who are still living.

MY LATEST BLOG UPDATE FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER

Hi, there..whether you’re my followers or just passing by my blog page, you are always welcome to stop by and read my latest updates.

It has been for a while since my last blog which I posted a few months. Yeah, life was so busy. The School Based Assessment or more famously known as PBS was implemented more than three months ago and that added to my already-packed time schedule. At first, it wasn’t easy to cope with a new approach in evaluating Form 1 students’ performances. Now, it’s already my bread and butter. Thanks to my coaches who are willingly to give a helping hand in carrying out these tasks.

Sometimes, I tried to keep those pile of works at bay by entertaining myself. Listening to songs, reading up inspirational quotes, tweeting up in my Twitter page and other online activities really helped me a lot. They’re the best stress reliever; I guess. I loved living my life this way, though sometimes I keep ruminating certain issues which I should consider as my second nature.

Thank God, this year was another stepping stone for me, where I have to face the reality rather than creating up fantasies where everything was superbly “perfect”. I believed that this life is not after all “unplanned”, but yet as a series of cause-and-effect nature which is considerably obvious in its nature. As a Christian, I always believed that the LORD himself took away our sufferings, but yet, we need to take “that small portion of suffering” from Him and walk together with Him along the Way of the Cross.

This explains why, as the followers of Christ, we still experience a lot of sufferings, be it a physical or spiritual one in our life. A Roman Catholic like me would practice the recitation of the Holy Rosary throughout the month of October, meditating on the Life, Death and Glorious (Post Resurrection) of Our Lord together with His Beloved Mother.

Sandakan: It's not just merely an another "destination"

I would rather say nothing much about my visit to Sandakan and Kota Kinabalu recently, but I would like everyone to seek out what lies beneath the lines of the poem that I am going to showcase as below:-

It's a place where people would consider as a "no purpose" destination,
Except for some curious tourists,
Who would like to explore the beautiful lush-green forests,
Or perhaps those who would like to see the real-life "Pongo Pygmaeus" or "Elephas maximus borneensis"
but for a lay person like me,
I searched for something else,
Not a "real-life" tourist attractions,
Nor I am going to take a stroll along Sandakan Harbour Mall,
Our the Spring in Kuching or 1B are much more interesting than that,
Than WHY???

I'm looking for someone..yess
Someone that I have dreamt so much before
Who only appeared as one of my hundreds of my online friends in my Facebook list of friends
Then suddenly vanished without any warnings,
Like the glare of an evening sun during the sunset,
Perhaps you could remember or even no longer remember me now,
I never expect this kind of thing will happen,
It's not only LOVE that brought us here,
It's more than that,
The moment you shown your smile to me,
A glimpse of your shining eyes,
Which meant more than life itself,

As I came forward to seeing you,
You seemingly to be ever-hesitant,
Amazingly you still remember my full name,
Even after exactly two years,
Now I know that it's pretty hard to erase me from your life though,
but I insisted to see you as you are,
The truly flesh-and-blood version of yours,
So that I will no longer yearn for pictures,
You gave me the same smile..the smile that melts my heart,
You shown me that same pairs of eyes again,
The eyes that shown me the whole universe,
I now....
I really..really made you feel bad..
and that made you stay away even further than ever..
I don't care so much my dear
As long as I see your smile and eyes

Bad things do happen,
But we should not blame the fate that never gets us together...
My dear,
I no longer keeping faith in anything
Now the fate that determines where I should go afterwards
Perhaps I should close my eyes and keep on praying,
If this means nothing to me..
Then let be the memoirs of SANDAKAN..the land where my heart shall rest..and the land where my heart shall leave afterwards...
Be a reminiscence of the greatest love story ever told..
From Sibu to Kota Kinabalu...
From Kota Kinabalu to Sandakan...
Way back from there...
It's the most memorable "Journey of Love" I ever made..

Living up my life with Feng Shui: An amateur's experience.

It seems that I am now already 'addicted' to writing posts in my personal blog site. Despite lacking the experience in professional writing skills, we have to remember that there is an English saying that states: "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". If anyone would like to contribute any constructive ideas, I would be glad to welcome it as part of the learning processes towards improving this blog site.

Right, it would be better if we go straight to the point of discussion. It's all about one of the most intriguing metaphysical science areas known to the Westerners as 'Feng Shui'. The knowledge of this ancient Chinese practice had been in the limelight due to the English version of many Feng Shui texts translated by renowned masters who are well-versed in both Chinese and English. I practised Feng Shui as an amateur for the past 6 years. It all began when my mother bought a book on Feng Shui's symbolism. At the first glance, it never caught my attention since it was filled with all the Chinese figurines and characters. I left the book on my coffee table for a few days until I accidentally turned the page and found out that 'someone could increase his/her potential to meet his life partner'. What the...?For me, it's a total nonsense. Furthermore, as a staunch Christian and a devoted Catholic, it would be a grave sin to put our faith on man-made principles such as 'lucky and unlucky directions', 'auspicious days', Taoist and Buddhist deities' figurines and a myriad of oriental principles.

As I read through the pages of the easy-to-be-understood book, I began to realise that in a strict sense, the 'real' practice of Feng Shui does not involve all of the above. I started to browse through multitudes of Feng Shui websites beginning with the best seller's author and even to the humble, secluded type Feng Shui master who preferred to be a mentor to a very limited number of students. I started buying quite a number of books on the so-called "symbolic and ritualistic" Feng Shui books. Oriental mysticism is one of the most enigmatic body of knowledge. No wonder why most Westerners were so interested to study these knowledge even to the point of leaving their faith and embraced the oriental religions. Fine, religion is really a personal matter, so I decided not to put it into the limelight for the moment. I am not a religious fanatic but I'm not a free-thinker either! As I studied Feng Shui, without mentioning any parties; I came to the point of consciousness where there were too many conflicting issues; and the most apparent one is the "Classical versus New Age Feng Shui" feud. Again, this is also an another difficult topic to discuss though.
As for myself, whether you choose to learn Feng Shui in a very classical methods such as San Yuan, San He, Xuan Gong Ba Gua and other schools of classical Feng Shui or even to integrate the "westernised concepts" of Feng Shui such as crystal healing, colour therapy et cetera, the most important thing that you should realise is that Feng Shui never offers a "one fix all solution type" method. It is also not a "magic spell" that would change your life from rags to riches overnight! No, no one would ever believe it should work that way. If that is so true, then we would find that all Feng Shui masters will live in huge mansions or owning a row of Ferraris. Am I right? To be frank, reality remains a reality no matter how you would want  to "fix" it. Feng Shui is all about harmony; how to live in tandem with the unseen forces of Nature. Science wouldn't be able to explain what does it means by "Chi", but recent findings shown that we are surrounded by magnetic fields that naturally exists around us. It is also proven that certain pattern of magnetic fields are able to affect human beings' mood, despite a number of arguments posed by sceptics. With the use of modern devices such as computers and other electrical devices, the electromagnetic pattern has now somewhat can be called as "disrupted" as opposed to the "harmonious" already existing magnetic field in the natural surrounding.
It is glad to say that many curious colleagues, relatives and friends who lacked the Feng Shui knowledge approached me and asked questions like "Can I get my Mr Right with Feng Shui?", "Would I live happily with my spouse?" or " Would I be rich by orientating my house this way?". My answer would be both "YES" and "NO". The answer is a 'YES' if a true Feng Shui practitioner understands that Feng Shui is only 33% of the total luck. I won't discuss further on this concept but   there are numerous methods ranging from the location of home until the placement of certain types of "cures and enhancers" that would offer some solutions for these craving clients. The answer is also a 'NO' since me myself, an ardent amateur practitioner, remains a single guy..(haha..would Feng Shui made Jennifer Lopez to propose me???) or living in a luxurious bungalow (but yet, I have to struggle to keep my pocket as tight as possible since I am going to have the salary cut off to pay my housing loan). I can't deny that there are some Feng Shui masters who gained reputation and enjoyed luxurious lifestyles. By the way, it's not because of Feng Shui alone, but their persistence and undying effort in expanding their business' tagline. Simple, right?

Achievement and recognition: A personal view.

Hi, friends..it has been for a while since I last wrote in my so-called "blog" page. A period of more than a month or so gave me a lot of new insights of my own life that certainly gave me more encouragement to live my life the way it is. The Lenten Season was actually a very useful period for me to re-establish my personal relationship with the Lord, as I felt that I've been away from Him for quite a while; yes, I admit it. I put the Bible at the sideboard but yet I spent not a single moment to read it. I never asked the Lord to speak to me. Rather, I would viewed Him as a 'wish fulfilling object' of my human desire. Such a wretched and filthy sinner I was! No wonder why my selfishness had caused harm not only to myself but to those who were surrounding me! As a believer, I always put my entire faith in Him and I think I've made it! I tried not to involve myself in anything that was related to any social networking page. It seemed that I successfully refrained myself from writing anything in the Facebook wall or in my blog site for the entire Lenten season and finally, I'm back!
First of all, I would like to inform that this post is nothing to do with anybody in my life, be it dead or alive. It's just a reflection on things that I had experienced all this while and I'll love to share with those who are concerned. No hard feelings, friends and don't take it too personally. Well, if you expect that I am going to write another 'heartbroken and melancholic story of a frustrated lover', you have guessed it wrongly. I would like to write about it, but I guess it's better for me to accept the facts and go on with my routines.

Regarding the things that had happened to me all this while, I would rather to share in a more 'general' term rather than to specify to any particular areas of my life. No more a "touchy aspect of a sad love story" or even a "heart slashing phrases" that would put someone who is already heartbroken into a consideration whether he should end up his life in isolation. I am not a perfect person; instead I am striving to reach a nearly-perfect condition; perhaps. What I am going to share here will inspire some people to be more aware of their surroundings and to improve their performance, be it in the their personal or professional life.

If you had worked so hard all this while and not being appreciated for what you had done, is it worth doing something like this?
Everybody needs money, no matter how small the amount is, it's still money and people will do anything for it.

When we heard the word "recognition", everybody would think of the "reward".Yes, a real reward actually. It's not only a pat on a back or a verbally 'good job' remark given to you by your superiors. Even the students will easily get fed up with "candies" given by their teachers each time after they successfully answered a question. To be frank, those who worked hard throughout their career life should receive their reward, be it in a cash form, a certificate of recognition and more importantly a rise in your salary or even offered a higher post in your organisation.
For illustration purpose only; nothing to do with the "real" APC.
We cannot say that we are being selfish if we demand for what we should have. Instead, it is us who should be considered as 'selfish' since our egoistic nature prevents us from admitting our faults. If you are already in the 'deserved group' and suddenly you see others had their 'reward' while you are not, what would you think?
Being jealous???? Naa....why should you envy someone who already had a happy life? Perhaps one day you will be in their position and see how does it feels if someone get jealous of you?
Missing the last bus? Perhaps you would say " WTF???"
There is no point for being envious here since your colleagues deserved it, just like you and me. They deserved the reward. When you are the 'only one' who is 'missing from the list', what would you think? It feels like "missing the last bus' trip". As a result, you will end up waiting with a sour face for another hour or soThere will be thousands of questions that will crowd your mind; "Am I not hard working enough?" "Am I showing a good work ethics or having a bad reputation? "Am I a noticeable employee?". When a friend, a very close friend told you that you need to 'do something' to make sure that you will be on par with those who are supposed to be 'there', things are very clear now-you are not in the list and perhaps you will be "eternally" left out (sigh...).

Perhaps it's time for us to have a deep insight towards ourselves. There's no time to blame anyone, no more finger-pointing, no more the "blame game", "I'm right, you're wrong..." etc. That's all for now. I'm now still on a stage where I need to be alone, secluding myself from the madding world; because at the end; no matter how good you are trying to be innocent, it is you who are the one is going to be blamed no matter how faulty others are. So, the solution is: Be quiet but at the same time be observant. There's nothing worth more than silence.

I miss you..but I hate you..oopss..No...I still Love U..damn it!

I just wonder if you are still there
Having a thought on me or you're just happy with someone else...
Ahhh..who cares..that's what the reality says..
but deep inside me..it really hurts..
Though time will heal..but it scars won't fade whatsoever way..

We loved..but we never been together
We crushed...but we never meet each other..
We planned..but we never known the bright and dark side of each other..
I just wonder what made us fell in love with each other

Finally..you made it clear
When you blamed me on all the things that I have done
in all the things that I have said...
for not giving you the chance to think about our so-called virtual relationship...
for not giving you a realistic thought about our life...
when you said that things would never be the same again..
you asked me to forget
but that is totally impossible for sure..

Perhaps I'm just another useless piece of chapter that went missing in your book..
or just a scratch in your masterpiece
or just a dust on your mound
or just a splinter
that things won't happen for sure...
but I never blame you my dear...but in fact I still say..till this day
that I will always miss you
love you
take care of you...
each second and each day
cause' you've made my day and night......

Perhaps I am insane..
Thinking of a person who never thinks of me...
Loving a person who never take cares of me...
But...who cares..anyway that is none of their business
Things will change soon..and let the things of the past become my lesson for the future
Never repeat the same mistake...
Let destiny turns its wheel...
Let fate decides what will happen next...
All of us are just like a surfing board on top of a wave...
You played it wrong and you will be flipped into the raging waves...
You tactfully glide on it and you will reach the shore............

"SORRY FOR EVERYTHING...I NEVER MEANT TO MAKE YOU UPSET...YEAH..I BLAMED NO ONE BUT MYSELF"

Drawing the curtain down for the Year 2011 and looking ahead for the wonderful year 2012!

It's time to say "goodbye" to the year 2011; nothing much for me to feel grateful a year that I consider as a mediocre one. Spending a year which can be considered as a "recovery year" after an "apocalyptic" year is not easy. Thank God, due to His eternal grace and mercy I finally managed to close another chapter of my life; not to be dismissed but to be cherished and also a reminder on how to value our life despite the difficulties that we face. I still remembered what one of my senior-online-friend who gave me this advice regarding my "melancholic attitude" (Thanks Mdm Lorita and Miss Yang for a thorough explanation of the word "melancholic")-"There's no need to look back, my friend. It's time to move ahead with your life. Your FB posts clearly show that you are still living in the shadows of your past even though you denied it again and again. Let bygones be bygones though…"P/S: Thanks my friend..I really appreciate your advice and I am sure your actions will generate a huge amount of positive karma that will alleviate any hindrances in your life. J.

I missed the time when my lovely "sayang" told me a story of the origin of Tambunan, a small but very serene countryside town in Sabah. We should learn from history. Tambunan: The fusion of the names of two Dusun Tilombunan groups who were once rivals; Tamadon and Gombunan became "Tambunan". It wasn't about Mat Salleh who fought for his people's rights afterall.
Those who learnt Feng Shui or even those who have no knowledge in it realize that the Year 2011 is the Year of the Rabbit. Yupp…figuratively speaking, we can consider this animal as a cuddly, adorable and quiet creature who would avoid confrontation at any cost. So, we can deduce that there will be peace among warring nations and less earth tremors isn't it? The reality is, when we looked around us, things seem to be worse from day to day. Famine, wars, natural disasters and economic downfalls are everywhere around us. I am sure, even if you are not a Feng Shui enthusiast, you will definitely argue on the "direct" interpretation of this year's energy, right?
My amateur and limited skills in both Classical and "New Age" Feng Shui helped me a little bit in improving my luck for the year. As a Rooster, I tried to do my best to avoid any confrontation with other people that could worsen my Annual afflictions. I preferred to sit back, plan ahead and improving my financial and career life. I would even buy some Feng Shui books written by famous local authors. Life was so busy till reaching a point that I do not have time at all to look for a new personal relationship, how far a marriage! I would rather prefer to use the energy of the "Rabbit in conflict with the Rooster Year" to do more positive karmic actions in order to get myself ready for the fabulous Year of the Dragon in Year 2012 (Based on the Chinese Hsia Calendar, the year actually will start at 4th February 2012.)

As I spent most of my times outdoors and definitely travelling is one of my top favourite activities, I can see that one of human's desires is to make one's wish (or wishes) become true. They went to the temple and asked the deities to predict their future luck, visit magical places and a never-to-be-forgotten offering One of them is the wish making "rituals" and that would involve visiting "magical places". Throw a penny into the well and wallop…the Guardian Spirit will grant your wish no matter how difficult or impossible it is. If that so, there will be another thousands of Donald Trump-alike tycoons or countless maiden who are as hot as Nicole Scherzinger if their wishes are truly fulfilled. I am not arguing on the effectiveness of these places or consider a "wish making" thing as a childish or "in vain" activity, but let us get back to reality, face it as it is and if you want to make a wish, try to make a more reasonable wish such as opening up more opportunities to money-making or even to heal a broken relationship with your spouse. That is more effective to me rather than to say "I want Prince William to propose me.." Ahah! You can see the difference, right?

The Double Phoenix: A very popular Feng Shui symbol of "doubled opportunity". Feng Shui itself is not a magic; it won't make you rich overnight or making Prince William kneeling in front of you for proposal right at the doorstep!

Alright, I will discuss further on the "Wish Making" topic in my next blog since our focus now is on the Feng Shui reviews for this year and the year o come. I still hold to the basic concept of the Trinity of Luck which is the essential of any Feng Shui and BaZi knowledge regardless of its school or ideology; which we call the "Heaven (Tien), Earth (Ti) and Ren (Man) luck. Each type of luck carries 33% of chances and if you fully make use all of them, then your chances of arriving at your goal will be much better than those who aren't! Consider this analogy, a person who lives in an area where there are known deposits of gold will never become rich unless he knows how to track them, owns devices that will be able to obtain and process gold and finally his own efforts to dig deep inside the soil or even creating a King Solomon's-scale gold mine!

Heaven Luck, which is the Destiny of a person can be analogized as a place where there are deposits of gold buried. You won't find gold anywhere unless you are destined to live in a land where gold can be found. The same thing goes to a person; a person who is not destined to have a good BaZi chart (e.g not destined to be a billionaire like Bill Gates since the wealth stars are not present in his chart) won't be able to be another "him", right? But wait, it's only 33% of the overall luck and there's still another 66% which should be considered despite your "not destined to be a rich person" type. It is proven that there are people who do not have wealth stars in their BaZi chart but through Feng Shui and Man Luck which involves timing (and their own effort (by being hardworking, venture out into business, choosing the right path of career) they will become much better than those who are "born with silver spoon" but yet they put less effort compared to those who are not. There are numerous people who started from a scratch but as the time goes (with a lot of effort and some "luck" definitely) they become the prominent figures in the Forbes' List of Wealthiest People in the World.

Everybody had this "gold rush phenomenon" as soon as the ASB counters were opened at various branches. Money come, money go:

Not everyone is destined to be a super-rich billionaire; but yet we still can use our potentials to the fullest by being opportunistic and willing to give our best in anything that we do.

Personally, this year can't be considered as a good year, especially for a Metal Rooster. Afflictions like the Natural Disaster Star, opposing the Grand Duke Tai Sui and a direct confrontation with its natural astrological enemy: The Rabbit! Nasty things did happen in the East; as the Deadly Five Yellow Star paid a visit and created havoc like earthquakes, economic downfall and other calamities that deeply create a serious impact to the humankind. By the way, the Dragon Year surely promises lots and lots of possibilities that surely manifest the ripening of good karma done by humankind. Happy New Year everyone and I wish you all the best for the coming New Year!
